P1000554My name is Ruth Paris and I now live in my late parents’ 17thC town house in Stamford, UK where I’m renovating the walled “secret” garden. It’s been a big exercise getting the ground cleared, hard landscaping done and first planting. Now the ongoing maintenance, adjusting and waiting for time to bring abundance to the young plantings.

Previously my allotment was on a roundabout in Farnham. Not the municipal kind you may be imagining but one large enough to contain a dozen allotments, tucked away behind mature trees and a five bar gate. I loved it and miss it still.

This blog has been my way of capturing the journey.
