Isn’t this an enchanting welcome to the Shepherd & Flock allotment site? The grassy path leads through cow parsley and ox-eye daisies, until you emerge into the 12 plot site. You’d think that the bees would be equally delighted and indeed make a beeline to all the abundance that awaits them… Last year my chive flowers vibrated with activity; this year, so far, they’re completely bare. Happily, the bee lady has persevered with a new hive, so let’s hope they’ll find their way.
