My name is Ruth Paris and my allotment, bizarrely, is on a roundabout! Not the municipal kind you may be imagining :0) – but one large enough to contain a dozen allotments, tucked away behind mature trees and a five bar gate. Conveniently, the roundabout is also home to a very nice pub, the Shepherd & Flock.
I also have a garden which I love, an oasis for home and full of flowers. The allotment is where I grow vegetables, herbs, fruit and even more flowers (just can’t help myself!)
I’m an executive coach by profession and work largely from home, so going to the allotment is also an escape from the day job.
